When facilitating conversations about equity across an organization, Leila excels at creating an interactive and caring space for personal and collective growth. She takes a targeted approach, working closely with each organization to ensure that their needs are being directly met by the services being provided.

Leila has worked across many fields, including responsible tech, higher education, arts administration, NGOs, directly with impacted communities, and more. Leila works both with US-based and international teams.

For over 4 years, Leila has provided excellent community facilitation to youth and adults. She specializes in facilitating spaces where communities can share personal experiences with oppressive systems and then creates portals for us to process and heal collectively. She uses restorative justice and transformative justice frameworks to create healing spaces centering QTBIPOC dignity, identity, history, and joy.

Leila is also passionate about using theater as a tool to activate QTBIPOC communities’ power and agency. As a theater facilitator of 3 years, she infuses her work with joy and care. She strives to use theater to unlock QTBIPOC imagination and creativity. She has taught theater/arts workshops and classes to people of all ages (from 5 to 70 years old).

Leila has brought her work to countless fields—unlocking creativity and relationship building in New York City public schools, refugee camps, academic settings, non-profits, and so many more.

Leila specializes in hosting vulnerable conversations, honoring the complexity of our stories and holding spaces that invest in ecologies of care and transformation.

THEATER & CREATIVE OFFERINGS

In addition to the outlined offerings, Leila is a professional Theater Teaching Artist. She is available to come to your school and lead classes for students on theater, acting, youth empowerment, and social justice theater.

Leila also facilitates theater devising processes – bringing a group of community members together to build a devised piece from the ground up. She specializes in using personal and familial stories from each participant to help the group create a play representative of their voices and experiences.
